At least these two months, the most accessed article of this site has been Cold Ramen (HIyashi Chuka). I was very surprised because it is very very Japanese style food and I thought it is not so popular. I am very happy because this typical Japanese food has a lot of interest from audience from the world.
The country where the most people access to the site is United States. I am hearing that Ramen is very popular there now. So I guess Hiyashi Chuka which is good meal for hot summer is getting known, too.
Last time I introduced Cold Ramen, I wrote about the sauce based on soy sauce. I think it is common, but we have another sauce using sesame.
Today, I would like to introduce Sesame Sauce for it.
Ingredients:
- 25g Sesame Paste (white)
- 1/2 tea spoon Sesame Oil (2.5ml)
- 1 table spoon Sugar (15ml)
- 25ml Soy sauce
- 30ml Rice Vinegar
How to make:
1) Mix Sesame Paste and Sesame Oil well.
2) Mix Soy sauce and Rice Vinegar well.
3) Mix Sugar and 2) a little to 1). 2) should be added step by step. If you add it at once, the sauce will not combined well.
The most delicate process of this cooking is 3). I added soy sauce and rice vinegar 3 times separately.
I think this sesame sauce may be used as the sauce for Shabu Shabu. I will try it when cold winter comes.
At this time, I didn’t shred roast pork (char siu) and sliced it like topping of Ramen. This style is also good. Also I sometimes making boiled chicken instead of pork.
